These past months, SIP China, took its commitment to the next level with the launch of the Supernova Cocktail Grand Prix: the first national Pernod Ricard competition, aiming to ignite the potential of young mixologists nationwide. 

This program celebrates not only amazing bartending skills but also the passion, collaborative spirit, brand knowledge and sustainability mastery defining any modern bartender. 

Over three months, aspirants embarked on a rigorous journey, facing regional finals in five regions before a Grand Finale in Shanghai. 

1st round: team challenge, revolved around sustainable bar operations, emphasizing the importance of environmental consciousness in mixology.

2nd round: 1:1:1 speed round, testing the bartenders' agility, precision, and creativity under pressure. 

Final round: themed challenge, pushed the boundaries of mixology as participants showcased their flair, innovation, and storytelling skills.

A discerning jury of Industry Legends, leading influencers, and brand ambassadors assessed their every stir and shake and finally awarded:

#1 Platt XU (12BAR BLUES) with Blooms Eventually, a cocktail based on Havana Club 3 years

#2 Like DENG (The Odd Couple) with Absolut Blossom, a cocktail based on Absolut Vodka

#3 Jack LI (EPIC) with Fire in the Sky, a cocktail based on Absolut Vodka

Best Sustainable bar team:  Platt XU (12bar blues) , Rachel YUAN (DSK cocktail club) , Scott ZHANG (Money can’t bar)

The winners will be touring China in the coming weeks for a series of guest shifts, to display their talents.
