What is BCB?

Bar Convent Berlin is the European biggest event for the Beverage Industry, drawing together bartenders, brands, and Hospitality professionals from around the world.

This event is a major opportunity to access the most influent Hospitality faces and display brands in an engaging and educational way. BCB once again drew the international bar world to Berlin offering the ideal setting for three days of networking at the highest level. 15,114 trade visitors from 87 countries came together at the event to gain exclusive insights into innovative products, deepen business relationships and benefit from the wide-ranging education programme. Networking between manufacturers, bar owners, bartenders and distributors took centre stage.

The Future of the Bar, an incredible collaboration

Let’s highlight Jameson Whiskey, Absolut, Italicus, Savoia, the Deacon Whisky, Bumbu Rum, Altos Tequila & the Bar World of Tomorrow who joined forces under the SIP umbrella, bringing the best of what those brands and the people behind have to offer.

Focusing on the Future of the Bar, the guests were invited to experience new flavours, debate innovation trends & daily challenges and pioneer what's coming next.

A focus on sustainability and Education

The education programme at this year’s BCB was the largest in the history of the fair and was enhanced by numerous interctive workshops. Experts offered exciting keynote speeches, panel discussions, tastings and practical workshops in seven Education Areas.

The new stage concepts were especially well received: the Workshop Stage with its interactive sessions and full focus on practical tips proved a magnet for visitors. On Monday, Luke Whearty, Daphne Hor, and Jeremy Roque discussed how emerging ingredients and innovative techniques offer insight into the next wave of trends reshaping taste in cocktails and bar culture. Their session, titled "The Next Sip: The Future of Flavors in a Changing World", explored cutting-edge developments in the industry.

Another exciting session was "Genealogy of a drink: From smelling, to extracting, to making it look adequate" with Alexandra Mettetal & Hadrien Moudoulaud (Abstrat Bistrot), Remy Savage & Maria Kontorravidis (A bar with Shapes for a name), and Julie Ceder & Giovanni Allario (Garnish Lab). A glimpse into the future was offered by the session"Re-imagined '90s on the rise—The trends to come" led by Dre Masso, Matt Whiley, and Ben Reed.
