Did you know "Paloma" means "dove" in Spanish? While any tequilero can whip up a mean margarita, Mexicans know the real star of the show is the Paloma. Born at La Capilla (Spanish for "The Chapel") and first crafted by the legendary Don Javier Delgado, this drink has won hearts all over. So, let's raise our glasses and toast to World Paloma Day with this zesty, refreshing cocktail:
Ingredients:
60 ml Altos Plata
60 ml Pink Grapefruit Juice
30 ml Lemon Juice
15 ml Agave Syrup
Optional garnishes: Lime wheel, pink grapefruit, and salt
Frost your glass rim with salt by running a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it in salt. Mix the tequila, lime/lemon juice, and sweetener. Add ice and top with grapefruit juice or soda. Garnish with a lime or grapefruit slice.
Cheers to the Paloma!
